Step back in time ...

Owned by the Bayside City Council and operated by the Friends of Black Rock House, Black Rock House is a heritage-listed treasure.
It was built in 1856 by Charles Ebden, Victoria’s first Auditor-General.
We invite you to visit this intriguing historic Victorian-era home with its castle-style fortress walls,
sand and paint finished exterior and French wallpapers throughout the interior, some reproduced from the original.

Enjoy the shady Moreton Bay Fig garden and immerse yourself in the era
with our antique furniture and costumes presented to reflect the story of the House.
